Perched on the second-floor tip of historic Pier 70, The Point at Pier 70 looks out over Elliott Bay, the Olympic Mountains, downtown Seattle, and the Olympic Sculpture Park. Built in 1902 by salmon packers Ainsworth & Dunn, the pier has been a cannery, a warehouse, a Coast Guard base and, briefly and famously, a television set. Its old-growth timber is a testament to its origin and the setting couldn't be more PNW.

VENUE MANAGER

I was born in Chicago, Illinois, but my upbringing was shaped by a military lifestyle, which took my family and me to various locations such as Okinawa, Japan, and Washington, D.C., Maryland. I pursued my college education in Southern California, where I discovered my passion for the Hotel and Events industry. This led me to Seattle for a two-week task force assignment that ultimately transformed me into a permanent resident, enjoying life like a vacationer.

My favorite event moment is when couples add a little something unexpected and personal to their wedding. As a fan of The Office (and someone who planned her wedding before Jim and Pam!), I loved the way the bridal party walked down the aisle to “Forever” by Chris Brown. It starts with fun, upbeat dance music, and then the lyrics kick in — it’s such a fun, joyful, and lovely moment. I love when couples find little ways to bring their personalities into the ceremony or first dance. Those are the moments that make a wedding feel uniquely theirs.

I am not Irish but I am a fan of this Old Irish Proverb - “There are good ships and wood ships, ships that sail the sea, but the best ships are friendships, may they always be!”
