Located in Seattle’s Lower Queen Anne, The Ruins is a maximalist event venue that specializes in the whimsical and the extraordinary. Once a legendary private club known for wild parties and secret dinners, it now hosts weddings and fundraisers within an immersive, “otherworldly” atmosphere. The space is famous for its eclectic decor—including a 1931 life-size animatronic elephant—making it the ideal setting for imaginative events where no idea is too bold.

We do not have a noise ordinance. Events can continue until 1:00 AM, with staff cleaning and the venue closing by 2:00 AM.

Accessible!

The piano in the Lounge typically does not move, but you are welcome to have guests play it! We can also put you in touch with our entertainment company if you’d like to hire a professional pianist throughout your event.

We provide a comprehensive range of equipment to ensure your event runs smoothly. This includes everything from tables and chairs to catering equipment.

Yes! The Ruins has both air conditioning and heating to keep your guests comfortable. We also have gas fireplaces which we are happy to light to add more warmth to the venue.

Yes! Complimentary WiFi is available at The Ruins.

The Ruins has metered street parking, and there are 3 hotels within walking distance that all have their own parking options! We do work with Butler Valet for any shuttle, valet, or parking attendant services you may be interested in as well. Ask your Venue Coordinator to get contact and pricing information!

Yes! A sound system is included, and is set up to accommodate background music through an ipad/iphone/standard audio jack.

Yes! Pets are welcome during preliminary photo times and during your ceremony. Please ensure your pets get picked up and cared for once any food service begins. Service pets are welcome all night long!Service pets are welcome all night long!

For aerial performances, we require the use of our preferred entertainment vendor, Maison De V, for liability and safety purposes.

Event planning isn't just my job; it’s a lifestyle shaped by a lifetime of moving. As a military kid who grew up across Texas, California, and Chicago, I learned early on how to turn any space into a community. I spent nearly a decade managing premier rooftop venues in Southern California before bringing my expertise to beautiful Seattle. I’m a firm believer that every event needs a "wow" factor—a philosophy I fuel by scouting the latest trends on Pinterest and finding inspiration in the mountains with my four-legged sidekick, Ace. Whether I’m at home trying a new recipe or on-site at the venue, I’m always looking for the next creative spark.

My favorite moment will always be the ceremony. There’s a special magic in meeting two strangers for a one-hour tour, learning the nuances of their journey, and catching that first glimpse of their unique spark. Seeing that same love story unveil a year later—witnessing my clients' growth and seeing their personalities shine as they walk down the aisle—gives me full-body chills every single time. Even after nine years in the industry, I still find myself shedding a few happy tears watching a story I’ve cheered for from day one finally come to life.

I have always allowed one specific philosophy to guide my work. It is a quote by Maya Angelou that truly defines why I do what I do: "I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.
